This is a translation for visitors who prefer English. If there is any difference, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Héctor Guillermo Vargas Nieto, who operates the MAAT House brand, in Mexico City, Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data, under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
For any privacy matter, write to hola@maathouse.com.
2. What data we collect
When you request your website design you give us:
- Your name, your business name and your WhatsApp number.
- Business details: what it does, how many people work there, what you want your website to achieve, the style you like, when you need it and whether you'd rather buy it or rent it.
- If you choose to share them: your logo, photos and colors, which we use only to create your website design.
When you browse the website, technical data is recorded automatically: pages you view, clicks, movement and scrolling on the page, device and browser type, approximate location (country or city) and IP address.
We don't collect sensitive personal data (health, beliefs, ethnic origin, etc.) or financial or banking data.
3. What we use it for
Necessary purposes (the reason you give us your data):
- Creating your website design and understanding what your business needs.
- Contacting you by WhatsApp or email to talk about your project.
- Preparing a proposal or quote.
- Following up on the services you hire.
Additional purposes (not needed to serve you):
- Sending you ideas, news and offers from MAAT House.
- Analyzing, in aggregate, how the website is used in order to improve it.
If you don't want us to use your data for the additional purposes, email hola@maathouse.com with the subject "No promotions". Saying no doesn't affect our service to you in any way.
4. Who we share your data with
We don't sell or rent your data. To run the website we use providers that process it only on our behalf and under our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google (Google Sheets, Drive and Gmail) | Storing your answers and the files you share, and notifying us by email. |
| Google Analytics | Measuring how many people visit the website and which pages they see. |
| Google Ads | Knowing whether you arrived through one of our Google ads and then requested your design, to measure which ads work. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Measuring how people browse the website (heatmaps and session recordings, with what you type in form fields hidden). |
| Vercel | Hosting the website. |
| Cloudflare | Domain and contact email. |
| WhatsApp (Meta) | Talking with you when you choose to message us. |
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Mexico. We would only share your data with others if a competent authority requires it by law.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the website is used and to measure our ads. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the website keeps working without them.
6. Your rights and how to withdraw consent
You have the right to access your data, correct it if it's wrong, delete it and object to its use for specific purposes (known in Mexico as ARCO rights). You can also withdraw the consent you gave us at any time.
To do so, email hola@maathouse.com with:
- Your name and a way to reply to you.
- An ID proving it's you (or your representative, with a document proving it).
- Which right you want to exercise and over which data.
We reply within 20 business days. If it applies, we act on it within the following 15 business days.
If you want to stop receiving messages from us, just ask on WhatsApp or by email.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data while there is a relationship with you or a project under discussion, and for up to 2 years after our last contact. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
8. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll publish the new version on this same page (maathouse.com/en/privacy) with its update date.
If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you may contact the competent data protection authority.
